I've gotten to Mach 1.7 in it, max on burner in the F18 I can remember is like 1.18. The 18 is arguably better in air to ground though and a far superior value in my opinion. The 16 doesn't get GPS guided weapons, instead sharing laser guided bombs with the Hornet.
