Broadcast incremental power algorithm
Webthe Broadcast Incremental Power (BIP) algorithm, a greedy heuristic that uses the principle of Prim’s algorithm [8] while assigning costs to the nodes in a way that exploits the wireless multicast advantage. Analytical results for the performance of BIP are given in [9]. Several other heuristics for constructing WebThe performance metric used to evaluate broadcast and multicast trees is energy-efficiency. We develop the broadcast incremental power algorithm, and adapt it to multicast operation as well. This algorithm exploits the broadcast nature of the wireless communication environment, and addresses the need for energy-efficient operation.

WebNov 9, 2024 · In a previous work [23], we proposed a Time-Limited Reliable Broadcast Incremental Power (TRBIP) algorithm. Simulation results depict that the proposed algorithm reduces the total emission energy, guarantees a timely delivery of emergency messages, and also reduces the communication interference in VANETs. However, this … WebApr 11, 2024 · Classic algorithms show high performance in tracking the maximum power point (MPP) of photovoltaic (PV) panels under uniform irradiance and temperature conditions. However, when partial or complex partial shading conditions occur, they fail in capturing the global maximum power point (GMPP) and are trapped in one of the local …

The most well-known power-efficient algorithms up to now include Broadcast Incremental Power (BIP) [1], and Embedded Wireless Multicast Advantage … WebThe performance metric used to evaluate broadcast and multicast trees is energy-efficiency. We develop the Broadcast Incremental Power (BIP) algorithm, and adapt it to multicast operation by introducing the Multicast Incremental Power (MIP) algorithm. These algorithms exploit the broadcast nature of the wireless communication environment, …
WebApr 21, 2015 · We compare our algorithms with the broadcast incremental power (BIP) algorithm, one of the most commonly used methods for solving this problem with complexity O(N^2). We demonstrate that our near-optimal algorithm outperforms BIP, and that the distributed algorithm performs close to it. Moreover, the proposed distributed … WebJan 1, 2002 · The broadcast incremental power (BIP) algorithm suggested by them is a "node-based" minimum-cost tree algorithm for wireless networks.
